Who We Are

Pawmenities, LLC ("Pawmenities," "we," "us," "our") operates dog boarding, daycare, grooming, and training services in Boston and the North Shore, and the website at pawmenities.com. We are the data controller for personal information collected through our website and services.

02

Information We Collect

  • Account & booking info. Name, email, phone number, address, emergency contacts, payment details (processed by our payment processor), and the information you provide in our client portal.
  • Pet information. Your pet's name, breed, age, sex, weight, vaccination records, vet contact, medications, behavioral notes, and feeding instructions.
  • Communications. Messages, calls, texts, and emails between you and our team, including SMS updates about your pet.
  • Photos & video. Photos and video of your pet captured during their stay for daily updates and (with your consent) marketing.
  • Website & device data. IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring URL, and similar log data collected via cookies and analytics tools.
  • Marketing preferences. Email subscription status and the categories you've opted into.
03

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, schedule, and bill for boarding, daycare, grooming, and training services.
  • Communicate with you about reservations, pickup/drop-off, your pet's well-being, and emergencies.
  • Maintain medical and vaccination records required by law and by our facility policies.
  • Send transactional emails and SMS (booking confirmations, reminders, receipts).
  • Send marketing emails — only if you've opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Operate and improve our website, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
04

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to operate the business:

  • Service providers. Booking platform, payment processor (Stripe), email/SMS providers, analytics, hosting, and customer-support tools — all bound by contract to protect your data.
  • Veterinarians. In a medical emergency we share relevant medical and contact info with the treating vet.
  • Legal & safety. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety of people or animals.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
05

Cookies & Analytics

We use first- and third-party cookies for site functionality, analytics (e.g. Google Analytics), and advertising attribution. You can control cookies through your browser settings or opt out of analytics tracking via the providers' opt-out tools.

06

Data Retention

We retain client and pet records for as long as you remain an active client and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and operational requirements (typically 7 years for financial records). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. You can request deletion at any time.

07

Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, vetted vendors, and least-privilege practices — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; we'll notify affected clients promptly in the event of a qualifying breach as required by law.

08

Your Rights & Choices

  • Access & portability. Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction. Update inaccurate or incomplete information through your client portal or by contacting us.
  • Deletion. Ask us to delete your data, subject to legal/record-keeping exceptions.
  • Marketing opt-out. Unsubscribe via any marketing email or contact us directly.
  • SMS opt-out. Reply STOP to any text message.
  • Photo opt-out. Tell us at booking and we'll exclude your pet from public marketing imagery.
  • California (CCPA/CPRA) & EU (GDPR) residents. You have additional rights including the right to know, delete, correct, and limit use of sensitive personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@pawmenities.com. We'll verify your identity and respond within 30 days.
