Our Policies
The fine print, friendly version. Everything you need to know before your pup's first stay — booking, drop-off, vaccines, and what to pack. If something isn't clear, just call or text us — we'd rather answer a question now than surprise you later.
01 Booking & Deposits
- How to book. New clients sign up at clients.pawmenities.com/client-onboarding. Existing clients can log in at clients.pawmenities.com. After you submit a request, someone from our team will confirm within 72 hours.
- Deposit. A 50% deposit is required within 3 days of booking to secure your spot. The remainder is due at pickup (or auto-charged to your card on file).
- Holiday bookings. Holidays book up fast. A $100 holiday surcharge applies during peak periods (Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year's, July 4th, Memorial Day, Labor Day). The surcharge is per stay, not per night.
02 Cancellations & Refunds
- 7+ days before your reservation: full refund of your deposit.
- Under 7 days: deposit is non-refundable, but we'll credit it toward a future stay within 6 months.
- Same-day no-shows: full stay is billed.
- Weather / emergency cancellations: call or text us — we work with you.
03 Vaccinations Required
All dogs must have current vaccinations uploaded to your client portal at least 1 day before your visit.
| Vaccine | Acceptable | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Rabies | 1-year or 3-year | Both accepted |
| Distemper (DHPP/DAPP) | 1-year or 3-year | Both accepted |
| Bordetella (Kennel Cough) | Within last 6 months | Required for every visit |
Upload records through the client portal under your pet's profile. If your vet emails records directly, send them to pawmenities@gmail.com.

05 Late Pickup
We get it — traffic happens. But because we plan staffing around your booking, late pickups affect everyone.
Always call or text if you're running late — we'll make it work.
06 What to Bring (and What to Leave at Home)
✅ Please bring
- Food — pre-portioned and labeled with your pup's name and feeding instructions (we recommend a freezer-bag-per-meal system).
- Medications — in their original containers with clear instructions.
- A collar and leash with ID tag — for drop-off and pickup.
❌ Please leave at home
- Crates, kennels, or pens (we're cage-free — your pup won't need one).
- Rawhides and bully sticks (choke hazards in a group setting).
- Food and water bowls (we provide everything).
- Valuable or irreplaceable items.
07 Health, Behavior & Safety
- Spay/neuter. All dogs over 7 months must be spayed or neutered to join group play.
- Temperament evaluation. Every new pup gets a quick meet-and-greet on their first daycare day to make sure group play is a good fit. There's no charge for this.
- Aggressive behavior. Dogs displaying aggression toward humans or other dogs may be sent home or asked not to return. We always call you first.
- Illness. If your pup arrives showing signs of illness (kennel cough, diarrhea, vomiting), we may ask you to reschedule — for their sake and the rest of the pack's.
- Flea & tick. All dogs must be on a current flea/tick preventative.
08 Medical Emergencies
Your pup's safety is our top priority. In the event of an emergency:
- We contact you immediately at the numbers on your client profile.
- We transport your pup to the nearest emergency vet (we'll tell you which one).
- You're responsible for any veterinary costs incurred.
You must have an emergency contact and your regular vet's information on file before any stay. If we can't reach you, we'll proceed with reasonable care based on the vet's recommendation.
09 Transportation (Pet Taxi)
- $25 per trip (one-way) within ~3 miles of our Seaport or Lynnfield locations.
- Free for Pawmenities members as part of membership benefits.
- Book transport when you book your stay — we cannot guarantee day-of availability.
10 Photo & Video Release
We send daily photo and video updates as part of every stay, and we love sharing the cuteness on Instagram and our website. By booking, you grant us permission to use photos of your pup for marketing.
Want to opt out? Just let us know at booking and we'll keep your pup's photos private to your client portal.
11 Payment
- We accept all major credit and debit cards via the client portal.
- Cash and check are not accepted.
- A card on file is required for all stays.
- For unpaid balances over 30 days, a 1.5%/month late fee may apply.
12 Liability
Pawmenities provides a safe, supervised environment, but dogs are dogs — wrestling, running, and roughhousing are part of the fun. By boarding with us, you accept that minor scrapes, scratches, or rare injuries can happen in group play. We carry insurance, follow strict protocols, and will always notify you immediately if anything occurs.
